Huo Zun, Whose Career Was Ruined After He Was Accused Of Being A Serial Cheater, Reports Ex-Girlfriend To The Police For Alleged Extortion
Video footage of her asking him to borrow money to pay her has also been released.
In August, Chinese singer Huo Zun, 30, was accused by his ex-girlfriend Chen Lu for a) cheating on her throughout their nine-year relationship, and b) for throwing shade on Call Me By Fire, which he eventually took part in.
The backlash against the singer was swift. Huo Zun dropped out of the show — all his scenes that had been filmed were either edited out or censored by the producers — and he announced that he would be taking an indefinite break from showbiz.
Three months later, it appears that Huo Zun is standing up for himself and getting back at Chen Lu for destroying his career.
According to Chinese media, Huo Zun has lodged a police report against his ex for alleged extortion and the Shanghai police has confirmed that a report has indeed been filed.

Weibo account ‘Du Li Ping’ also shared video footage dated May 14, three months before Chen Lu's damning exposé on Huo Zun, that was taken in the singer's office.
In the video, Chen Lu could be heard suggesting that Huo Zun “borrow money” — allegedly to pay her — since he “has so many good friends”.
Chen Lu’s buddy Wang Meng, who was present during the meeting, was also seen telling Huo Zun that Chen Lu was "treating him very well" by allowing him to split the payment over five months.
It's believed that Chen Lu was demanding money from Huo Zun to keep mum about his alleged serial cheating.

There are also leaked screenshots of a WeChat conversation between the former lovers circulating on Weibo and they show Chen Lu asking Huo Zun for “9mil yuan (S$1.9mil)” on August 12, after she had gone public with the scandal.
