Huang Xiaoming plays bad cop when it comes to bringing up his adorable son
The actor lamented that his wife and mother are too lenient when it comes to Little Sponge
In a recent interview, Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming opened up about his parenting methods, admitting that he does not always see eye-to-eye with his wife, Hong Kong model-actress Angelababy when it comes to bringing up their son.
In the interview, Xiaoming shared that he prides himself on being emotionally strong, but is weak when it comes to his 2-year-old, who is nicknamed Little Sponge However, he continued that as his mother and wife both dote on Little Sponge, he has no choice but to play the ‘bad cop’ at home.
The actor’s response on a recent episode of the Chinese reality show, Chinese Restaurant 3, which he appears in, seem to confirm his stance when it comes to disciplining Little Sponge as well.
During the episode, Chinese actress Qin Hailu can be seen speaking to her son in a gentle tone, which prompted Chinese actress Yang Zi to ask Xiaoming if he behaves the same way with his son.
Xiaoming confirmed and let on that he often coos over Little Sponge's adorable antics. He went on to share that he makes sure that he’s a little stricter than his wife when it comes to Little Sponge, as he does not wish for their only child to become spoiled and arrogant when he grows up.
Xiaoming and Angelababy tied the knot in 2015, and welcomed Little Sponge to their family two years later, in 2017.
