Late Hongkong actress Yammie Lam, who was found dead at home on Nov 3, was laid to rest on Friday (Nov 9) at a Catholic funeral. She was 55.
At the time of her death, Yammie reportedly had little contact with her family or friends, and details of her funeral arrangement were up in the air. But actor Louis Koo, the president of the Hongkong Performing Artistes Guild, volunteered on behalf of the guild to bear the full costs of an appropriately grand funeral for Yammie if her family members could not be reached.
“We will do our best to help with the funeral, because she was part of our entertainment industry,” he said.
