Hongkong Actor Cheung Tat Ming Has Been Cancer-Free For 7 Years; Thanks Chow Yun Fat & Francis Ng For Support
What an inspiration.
Hongkong actor Cheung Tat Ming should be a familiar face for those who grew up on Hongkong comedies in the '90s. The actor has appeared in a wide variety of productions, from the Stephen Chow comedy Forbidden City Cop in 1996, to 2001's You Shoot, I Shoot, which bagged him a Best Supporting Male Actor nomination at the Golden Bauhinia Awards.
However, the 55-year-old disappeared from the spotlight in 2011, after being diagnosed with stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer. Tat Ming did not wish to share his diagnosis with the public initially, continuing to work and act. When he acted in a play, he had to dab away blood from his bleeding nose in between acts. The actor only came clean about his condition after he was photographed going for electrotherapy at the hospital.
