Absolutely disgusting.

Next time you want to buy food from an unlicensed street stall, we seriously urge you to think twice.

A recent episode of TVB's infotainment show Scoop, they did an exposé on a middle-aged woman, nicknamed Tian Ya Jie, who resells unwanted food she collects from convenience stores and supermarkets along the streets of Tai Wo Hau in Hong Kong .

According to Scoop, Tian Ya Jie would walk around the public housing estate blocks every night pretending that she's collecting trash from the stores.

The staff of these places all thought Tian Ya Jie was simply helping them dispose of their trash for free and so would give her the stuff without asking any questions.

"She's doing us a favour. She's not from a cleaning company. We don't know what she's doing but she always helps us clear our rubbish so we just give it to her," said one of the workers.

They admitted that they did not know what Tian Ya Jie does with the trash.

Then there's Ci Shen Jie, who also sells cheap food along the streets of Tai Wo Hau.

According to Scoop, Ci Shen Jie specialises in sashimi.

And this is where it gets disgusting.

Ci Shen Jie 'gets' her supply of sashimi from Japanese restaurants along the street. But no, she neither pays for them, nor do the restaurants give her permission to take their food.

Every night, Ci Shen Jie would trawl through the rubbish bins of these restaurants to look for leftover food that's been thrown out. She would then repackage them for sale the next day.

It appears Ci Shen Jie and Tian Ya Jie are not the only ones who sell such contaminated food at Tai Wo Hau.

When the Scoop crew approached the women to question them about their actions, they were chased away by other street stall vendors.

Seriously so disgusting
