Rain Li Compared To Voldemort By Netizens After The HK Star’s Makeup Artist Posted This Photo

Hong Kong star Rain Li, 39, has found herself in the spotlight once more after taking part in the fourth season of the Chinese reality survival show, Sisters Who Make Waves. 

And it seems like the attention has resulted in fair bit of scrutiny.

A make-up artist working on the show recently shared a behind-the-scenes shot with the actress-singer, only for Rain to be likened to Voldemort from the Harry Potter franchise. Ouch…

Rain, who made her showbiz debut 23 years ago at the age of 16, has been based in China since 2011. In late-2022, media outlets and netizens alike had noted that Rain appeared to have adopted a new look following her divorce from businessman Eric Huang in 2020.

At that time, they were kinder with their words, writing that Rain looked “mixed-race”. Many, however, did note that the star’s nose looked sharper back then.

Now, they’re not holding back at all. Comments on the make-up artist’s post started comparing Rain to Voldemort, who has, well, no nose to speak of at all. Definitely not a flattering comparison by any means.

And it really didn’t help that Rain, who appears to be a fan of Harry Potter, had just done a photoshoot dressed up in the franchise’s iconic wizard robes.

One netizen wrote that Rain’s large eyes, coupled with her tiny nose, made her look even more like the villainous wizard, with another asserting that Rain “doesn’t look like herself anymore.”
