Chinese Actress Whom Netizen Claims Was Holding Hands In Public With Hawick Lau Says She Was In Quarantine When The Pic Was Taken

Hong Kong actor Hawick Lau's love life has been a mystery ever since his high-profile divorce with Chinese actress Yang Mi in 2018.

But recently, the 48-year-old actor was photographed holding hands with a woman while walking on the street, leading netizens to wonder if Hawick has finally found a new love. 

More importantly, netizens seem to think that the woman is Chinese actress You Jingru (尤靖茹), who reportedly got married to her non-celeb boyfriend last year.

In the post that's circulating on social media, a netizen claimed that she chanced upon Hawick and his "new girlfriend" while she was out jogging. 

"Hawick Lau is in love, both of them were very open and were not even wearing a mask. They were walking very slowly and were taking a stroll. You guys are too good, that is actress You Jingru, they weren't filming," wrote said netizen.

However, many questioned whether the woman in the picture was indeed Jingru, considering how she posted on social media that she got married last December. 

The author of the post then retorted: "I saw very clearly that it was You Jingru. Everyone's saying she's married so it can't be her, maybe she got a divorce! There were also people who said that there was no way Hawick wasn't wearing a mask, I was wondering why they were so open too, maybe it's because we live in a really secluded area!" 

So was it really Jingru?

In response to the speculation, the actress' manager merely said: "To those who are spreading false rumours to get attention, I advise you to be kind!"

Jingru later also shared on her Weibo saying that she's currently quarantining in Ningbo, indirectly shutting down the allegations.
