Hannah Quinlivan Reveals How Becoming A Mum At 21 Gave Her A Serious Case Of FOMO
She also talks about how she and Jay met for the first time.
Ever since they got married almost five years ago, Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan have never shied away from public displays of affection. However, what’s not public is the story about how they met.
But recently on Chinese variety program Crossing NBA, which features a guest host chatting about life and career with a different NBA star every week, Hannah finally spoke about how she and Jay started dating.
Heart to heart talk
During her chat with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, the pair got talking about how they met their respective spouses and Hannah revealed that she first met Jay during a casting session in 2010, when she was only 17.
“I was doing an audition for a new music video, which was my husband’s,” Hannah said to Stephen. "He was the director then. He casted (sic) me in his music video and that’s how we met and started dating.”
“The first date we went for was at a basketball court,” Hannah added. “I was mostly watching him [play] at that time, but now I play [basketball] with him a lot.”

After the clip of Hannah and Stephen's was posted online, netizens began to speculate if the music video she auditioned for was for 'How Are You' a song off Jay’s album, Wow!, which was released in 2011. It coincides with the time when they were snapped on holiday together in Australia a couple of months before the album’s release.

It's said that Jay decided to reshoot the music video and Hannah was replaced by actress Chloe Wu because he wanted to protect her from the glare of the paparazzi. Now fans of Jay and Hannah are demanding for Jay to release the original version of 'How Are You' so as to see the sparks fly between the couple.
In the same chat with Stephen, Hannah also revealed that she "didn't plan" on becoming a mum at 21 and that when she first gave birth to Hathaway, she found motherhood exhausting. "In the beginning I was still too childish 'cos I was still like a kid. And dealing with my baby, I was like, "Ah this is really tiring! Why was I in this room?" I still wanted to go out. My friends were all having parties but I'm stuck here," said Hannah, who also has a two-year-old son, Romeo.
"But now she’s four and I’m glad I had her at that time," added Hannah. "I've grown up a lot because of my kids. I stopped thinking of just myself, you know caring for others, so it helped me grow faster than I would have grown."
