Jay Chou’s Wife Hannah Quinlivan Only Found Out She Was Pregnant With Their 3rd Kid 'Cos She Was Having Constipation

Earlier this year, 43-year-old Mandopop King Jay Chou and his wife Hannah Quinlivan, 28, announced that they are going to be parents for the third time.

Initially, the couple, who already have two kids — Hathaway, six, and Romeo, four — only wanted to share the news after the baby was born, but they realised they wouldn't be able to hide the secret for long.

The baby’s gender was later revealed on Apr 22 when Hannah posted a pink balloon-filled video on her IG Stories. She also added a “My Princess” sticker to the clip, basically admitting that her third kid is a girl. 

In a recent interview with Elle Magazine Taiwan, Hannah revealed that she and Jay were in France when they found out she was pregnant.

The actress said she typically has bowel problems whenever she’s overseas, and so, she went to the drugstore to get some constipation pills. 

There, the pharmacist asked Hannah to confirm if she was pregnant before they could administer a stronger dosage for her. 

According to Hannah, her first reaction was “How could I be [pregnant]?" but she took the test anyway. Little did she expect the pregnancy test to come out positive, leaving her in shock.

“Oh my God, I really am pregnant!” Hannah recalled herself saying then.
