There’s no doubt that Carina Lau, 55, is a woman about town. (P/S: She can’t be more different from her super low-key hubby Tony Leung.) She has tons of pals and a really active social life, which she gives with her followers a peek at on social media.
Recently, she posted a vid of her at a karaoke bar, where she was seen with her arm around a strapping young man with whom she was singing a song.

According to reports, Oscar is based in Shanghai where he runs a creative and branding agency and a talent management company. He is also the owner of a number of restaurants in the city as well as a bar in Beijing.
Thanks to his famous mum, Oscar is very well-connected with showbiz — Carina is not his only super famous pal, duh. According to Apple Daily, he is very close to Stephen Fung, Shu Qi, Eddie Peng, Sunny Wang, and Wilber Pan and he reportedly grew up with Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee.
While he’s living a very glitzy and glamourous life now, his growing up years were relatively low-key. And for good reason.
He was kidnapped when he was nine
In 2000, when Oscar was only nine, he was abducted on the way to school in Hongkong. It was reported that his kidnappers demanded a ransom of HK$15mil (S$2.6mil).
After negotiations, the amount was reduced to HK$8mil (S$1.4mil) and Oscar was released 10 days after he was kidnapped, though no money was reported to have changed hands. It’s said that ordeal affected Sylvia and her family greatly and she decided to send her son abroad to study.
Though he’s not in the movie business — he studied at the Chelsea College of Arts in the UK — he did, however, work behind the scenes on Sylvia’s 2015 movie Murmur of the Hearts, which starred Joseph Chang, Angelica Lee and Isabella Leung, whom he was rumoured to have dated for a year.
