Guan You’s eldest daughter praised for her slender figure
Netizens even called his wife and younger daughter “flawless”
Mayday drummer Guan You (also known as Ming) posted a picture of his elder daughter, Hsiao Chiang Wei, on Sunday (Oct 29), prompting netizens to comment that all the women in his family (his wife, Wang Xingzhi and his two daughters) were all “flawless.”
Although the photo posted on Facebook only showed 8-year-old Chiang Wei lying on her back reading a book beside her classmate on the floor, many were quick to commend her on her long legs and slender figure. They even commented that she looked like a model and said that it was obvious she had inherited Xingzhi’s good genes.
“I received this picture from Xingzhi during one of Chiang Wei’s visits to her classmate's house, and I finally understand why I am not allowed to buy clothes for my kids,” Guan You wrote.
His caption drew lots of different comments from viewers who deemed it unclear and a misunderstanding. Some felt that he meant to say that “he was not allowed to buy skirts for his daughters as it would be inconvenient if they sat or laid down”, while others thought that he meant his children would outgrow their clothes quickly as they were growing up too fast.
Guan You and Xingzhi have another daughter, 6-year-old Roselyn. The drummer has always maintained a low profile but often makes an effort to show his love for his family even when he is away on tour.
