Godfrey Gao’s Older Brother Posts Touching Tribute To The Late Actor Over Chinese New Year

It’s been three months since Godfrey Gao’s passing but the pain of losing the well-loved star is still palpable to those who were close to him.

On Tuesday (Jan 28), Godfrey’s second older brother, Charles, posted a touching tribute to the late star, along with their childhood photos, on his Facebook and Instagram account.

“My younger brother left us [without a word] at the age of 35, wasn't that too wilful of you? We didn’t even have the chance to say goodbye… what happened to your promise, to take pictures of me riding my off-road vehicle? I was always looking forward to the day where we’d be able to drive our dream cars together! You didn’t even give me a chance to surpass you (…) Didn’t we agree to enjoy life together with our families, till we’re old and weathered? These sentimental words are still hidden, deep down in my heart, with no way to release them. But, it’s a new year, and I wish to have a new start. Thank you everyone, for all always being with us, as well as for your blessings, happy new year. Happy 2020 to my little brother!” wrote Charles, who is also an actor-model, in Mandarin on Facebook.
