Gloria Tang Denies Rumours That She’s Been Blacklisted By TVB For Bad Behaviour On The Set Of Take Two
The actress landed her first lead role in Take Two after nine years with TVB, but hasn’t been cast in anything for the past 10 months.
Canadian-born Hongkong-based actress Gloria Tang scored her first lead role with TVB drama Take Two, which is currently airing in Hongkong.
Many congratulated the star as they thought that this was an indication that her career would be picking up.
Little did they know that she wouldn’t be cast in any new project for the next 10 months, leading to rumours that she's been blacklisted by TVB.
And the alleged reason? That she had behaved badly on the set of Take Two.
Turns out she just wants to take some time off
Gloria has since clarified that the rumours are untrue and that she “worked really well” with the cast and crew.
Gloria added that Take Two's producer was so impressed with her that he wanted to cast her in his new drama, but she turned him down.
“I’ve been busy with some things, but I can’t tell you what they are right now," she said. "I also won’t be able to accept any roles in the near future [because] I’ll be going back to Canada to spend time with my family, whom I haven’t seen in four years.”
Gloria joined TVB in 2013 after winning the Miss Chinese International Pageant. She has played supporting roles in dramas such as 2019’s Barrack O’Karma and 2016’s Two Steps From Heaven. She has never won an acting award despite being nominated multiple times.
