Gillian Chung Reportedly Turned Down Sisters Who Make Waves 'Cos Of Cecilia Cheung
Being in the same show as Cecilia would remind people of the Edison Chen sex scandal apparently.
It’s not a stretch to say Chinese reality talent competition Sisters Who Make Waves was one of the hottest shows in China this year. The hugely successful show, which pits female stars over 30 against each other, has revived the careers and boosted popularity of its contestants like Taiwanese singer Annie Yi and Chinese actress Eva Huang.
A second season is in the works and will reportedly boast a star-studded cast including Ada Choi, Yang Mi and Irene Wan.
According to reports, producers also had their eye on Hongkong star Gillian Chung, who began her showbiz career as one-half of pop duo Twins, and were already in talks to get her in the competition.
