Gillian Chung Spotted Holding Hands With Chinese Influencer Dubbed The 'Female Edison Chen'
Every now and then, dating rumours about Gillian Chung and Huangfu Shenghua resurface in the headlines.
It all started in 2023 when the now 44-year-old Hong Kong star was seen getting kissed by Shenghua when leaving a party. The 36-year-old Chinese influencer is known in China as the “female Edison Chen” because of how much she looks like the star.
Speculation intensified in October the same year after the Twins member posted a photo she took with Shenghua on the latter's birthday, prompting fans to think that they've gone "IG official".
Recently, reports claimed that the two are now living together in Beijing, and were even spotted walking down the streets, hand in hand.
Photos circulating online showed the pair both dressed in black with Gillian appearing heavily disguised.
Despite being well-covered with a mask and baseball cap, the star was quickly identified by fans, who recognised her hair, height, and eyes.
She was holding onto Shenghua’s arm as they strolled together, chatting and laughing sweetly. They were then seen leaving together in a car.
Truth is, the two were already photographed holding hands while shopping together last year.
Shenghua was also spotted backstage when Twins held their concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum last year.
After their concert tour, Gillian travelled to Saudi Arabia while Shenghua coincidentally shared photos of a desert trip on social media. The matching updates then further fuelled rumours about their relationship.
Gillian and Shenghua, however, have never directly responded to these speculations.
Coincidentally, the Gillian had dated Edison on and off for several years starting around 2000. Their secret relationship was only revealed to the public in 2008 through Edison’s sex photos scandal.
