George Young’s Wife, Janet Hsieh, Bares All In Pregnancy Photo Shoot

On Oct 5, Janet shared a slew of pics of her wearing nothing but a baby bump and blissful smile. She also waxed lyrical on her pregnancy journey. “There are times when you look down or into a mirror and HATE what you see. You feel fat, ugly, heavy, wide, saggy, swollen, uncomfortable, and just hate your body,” she wrote. “And then, there are times when you look at yourself and you see a miracle… Those are the beautiful moments and feelings I wanted to capture with this series of nude maternity photos. Just the beauty and miracle that is the body when it is carrying a baby inside.”

She also wrote: “You lose all modesty at times. I would fart loudly in public and not even blink an eye. Or sit on a chair with my legs wide open and not care who could see my underwear. But with that, you also gain courage. The little baby inside makes you feel so sexy and more womanly than you’ve ever felt before… I hope these photos celebrate the beauty that is pregnancy and the miracle of life.”

All that’s missing are wings to complete the flower fairy look in this pic of Janet with fellow mom-to-be Qi Qi. In a FB post, Janet jokingly wrote: “Maybe next time, we get the FATHERS to do nude paternity photos... heh heh. What do you think, George Young?” Now, that’s a photo shoot we’d love to see.

Beyoncé isn’t the only celeb to do a maternity shoot underwater, okay? On Oct 2, Janet shared pics of her looking ethereal underwater. The pic was shot when she was 36 weeks pregnant. Doesn’t she look swimmingly sublime?

Behind every beautiful photo… is a suffering model. In a BTS video which Janet shared on her FB, she was seen panting heavily after coming out of the water for air. “There’s water in every orifice of my body — my ears, my nose, everywhere!” she laughed. The fitness enthusiast, who admitted to feeling out of breath after just walking or climbing the stairs during her pregnancy, cried intermittently during the shoot, “Why is this so tiring?” Well, no pain, no gain, right? After the shoot, Janet wrote, “Although it was a huge challenge doing an underwater maternity shoot, it was very fun and very exciting, and I felt a great sense of achievement!” You go, mom!

Both the nude and underwater maternity shoots were part of Janet’s initiative to get fellow moms-to-be to send in their #wishlist of never-tried-before things they wanted to do during their pregnancies. Janet would then fulfill their crazy fantasies with them! The message she’s trying to drive home: That pregnant women are still capable of pushing their limits and making their dreams come true! Indeed. The hardworking host, who continued working even during her third trimester, has accomplished more during her pregnancy than some of us our whole lives.

Some netizens expressed concern for Janet doing an underwater shoot since she was close to popping. They had nothing to worry about, of course — there were lifeguards present during the shoot to keep watch.

Janet shared this BTS shot of herself, captioning it: “Happy mommy = happy baby! Healthy mommy = healthy future! Celebrating #BumpDay”.

It’s a tangerine! It’s a pomelo! Nah, it’s just the zany host, at 40 weeks of pregnancy, showing off the stretch marks on her belly. And she’s embracing what she calls “the mark of motherhood”. “There’s nothing left to do but to wear these marks proudly. Rather than see them as ugly, I’m going to try and wear them as a badge of honor!” she wrote. “My LIFE is never going to be the same after giving birth to a baby, so why should I expect my BODY to be the same after giving birth…Time to embrace these lines and wrinkles... After all, from this angle, doesn’t it kind of look like a cute Mid-Autumn Festival pomelo?” It sure does. Let's hope Janet would have popped by the time you read this.
