Looks like those rumours were right on the money again. Just last month, Apple Daily reported that the Malaysian singer Fish Leong and her Taiwanese wine merchant hubby Tony Chao had signed their divorce papers, thus ending their nine-year marriage. It was then rumoured that their marriage ended because of Tony's philandering ways. At that time, Fish chose to remain silent while Tony quickly denied the allegations saying that “there was no (affair) and there’s no such thing as a (divorce)”.

But yesterday (Sep 8), the 41-year-old singer finally admitted that she and Tony are no longer together after a performance in Taipei.

There are still plenty of shuttered units, and Level 2 remains much quieter than the ever-busy ground floor, but the atmosphere felt noticeably livelier during our visit. Bugis Street is also hosting its “Somewhere @ Bugis Street” weekend events as part of its ongoing efforts to bring more activity to the area.
