Faye Wong’s Daughter Li Yan Just Did A Charity Run For Kids Born With Birth Defects With Her Dad Li Yapeng
Li Yan was born with a congenital cleft lip.
But behind her attention-grabbing facade, Li Yan, along with her famous parents, is very active when it comes to charity.
Doing it for charity
The 14-year-old was born with a congenital cleft lip, and had three surgeries to correct it. The most recent one was reportedly done just two years ago.
After Li Yan was born, Faye and her ex-husband, Chinese actor Li Yapeng set up the Smile Angel Foundation which benefits children with cleft lips in China.
Since then, they’ve been very active when it comes to raising money for Smile Angel, with Li Yan's art piece fetching S$170,000 at a charity auction just last year.

Most recently, on June 1 (which is Children’s Day in China), Li Yan and Yapeng participated in a charity run to benefit children born with birth defects.
Fans praised both father and daughter for doing their part for charity, noting at the same time that Li Yan is now almost as tall as the 1.83m-tall Yapeng. Though it shouldn't come as a surprise since Faye herself stands at a statuesque 1.74m.
