Faye Wong Fangirls Over Daughter Leah Dou At Music Festival, Dances Like No One’s Watching

Chinese pop diva Faye Wong is known for being cool and elusive, but put her at her daughter's gig and she's apparently just like any other proud mum.

The 57-year-old star was spotted at the Xiami Music & Arts Festival in the seaside area of Aranya in Hebei on Aug 29 to support her elder daughter, singer-songwriter Leah Dou, 29, who was performing that day.

Faye's younger daughter Li Yan, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband, Chinese actor Li Yapeng, was there too.

Dressed casually in an oversized grey tee, shorts and sunnies, Faye looked completely immersed in Leah's performance.

Videos circulating online showed her swaying to the music and singing along from the audience.

At one point, Faye was reportedly heard excitedly calling out towards the stage: “Your old mother is here! Can you see me?”

She's clearly Leah's biggest fangirl mum.

Faye also appeared to wipe away tears while watching Leah, leading netizens to speculate that she had become emotional.

Later that night, Faye and Leah were spotted in the crowd enjoying the performances and really letting loose.

Footage showed her dancing enthusiastically, throwing her arms in the air and looking like she was having an absolute blast.

Netizens loved seeing this carefree side of the notoriously private singer, with one writing: “Just so lovely to see her enjoying herself.”

Others called her “pretty and cute” and marvelled at how good she looked at 57.

Looks like when she's off mum duty, Faye knows how to party too.
