Fan Gets Criticised For Posting Selfie With An Annoyed-Looking Chow Yun Fat
Fat Gor usually looks really happy in photos with fans, so what happened?
By now, it’s a widely known fact that if you want to run into Chow Yun Fat out in public, your best best is to go, well, running on Hongkong’s fitness trails. The acting legend is frequently spotted indulging in his hiking hobby and sometimes even stops to chat and take selfies with lucky fans.
It’s also known that Fat Gor is a very nice and down-to-earth guy, but one fan somehow managed to catch the superstar looking less than pleased — and no, it totally wasn’t Fat Gor’s fault.
Ask (for a selfie) and ye shall receive
Recently, a Hongkong netizen posted a picture of himself with Fat Gor while out on a hike (see below), but instead of the usual bright smile we see in other fans’ selfies, the 65-year-old looks like he was caught off guard and even appears rather irritated.
Oh dear. Now that’s a side of Fat Gor we don’t see often. So what on earth happened?
Bad day? Or…
When asked for the story behind the oddly sour-looking shot, the fan shared that he was going down the mountain when he crossed paths with Fat Gor, who was with fellow actor Alex Fong Chung Sun.
Although Fat Gor was busy jogging, the fan, who was apparently so star-struck that all his manners and common sense flew out the window, still decided to try his luck and ask for a photo.
Then, before Fat Gor could agree to it, he just whipped out his phone and snapped a selfie from the side without the star's permission.
The thing is, the fan was completely aware that what he was doing was not very polite, so he said sorry to Fat Gor, who simply glanced at him once and left.
Wah, really very rude. We don’t blame Fat Gor one bit for being annoyed.
And he’s usually super smiley
Other netizens were also very ticked off at the fan and denounced him for his improper behaviour.
Angry comments include: “I’ve never seen Fat Gor look like this in a photo, you really have a problem”, “Did you even ask him properly before taking the photo? Do you understand basic manners?”, and “You really have no shame”.
Remember, folks, celebrities are human too. Would you like it if some stranger came up to you and took a photo of you out of nowhere?
