Fan Bingbing Cried Herself To Sleep After Breaking Up With Li Chen
The actress is finally ready to talk about their split. Ish.
There has been much a lot of talk about the high-profile split between Chinese stars Fan Bingbing and Li Chen in 2019. Did they really break up? Was it just a ruse? Have they reconciled? Finally, a year after their shocking breakup, the actress is ready to open up about it. Well, sort of.

In a recent interview with China’s Style magazine, the 38-year-old opened up about her struggles after the split and how she got over the pain and heartache.
When the star, who's known for her tough-as-nails personality, was asked if she had cried herself to sleep before, Bingbing said: "When my relationship failed". She then said that whenever she feels fragile, she would keep herself busy by doing yoga and watching movies because "when I fill my time up, there is no time to be vulnerable".
Netizens were surprised to see this rare vulnerable side of the actress, and some speculated that she must have been dumped by Li Chen, 41, otherwise she wouldn’t have cried so hard.

When Bingbing and Li Chen announced the end of their four-year relationship in June last year, many netizens were skeptical about their breakup. Some said it was a “marketing ploy” to mend the actress’ reputation after her tax evasion scandal, while others claimed it was all a show to build momentum for her comeback.
There were also rumours of a third party and netizens criticised Li Chen for dumping Bingbing after riding her coattails to greater fame.
However, both parties have remained tight-lipped about the breakup and till this day, the reason for their split remains a mystery.

The ex-couple went public with their relationship in 2015 and Li Chen proposed to Bingbing on her 36th birthday in 2017. However, a year later, Bingbing’s tax evasion scandal brought their relationship to a grinding halt, with the pair announcing that they had chosen to go their separate ways in June 2019.
