Ex TVB Star Sonija Kwok Films TV Commercial With 10-Year-Old Daughter For The First Time

Fans of TVB dramas in the noughties will definitely be familiar with actress Sonija Kwok, 48, who starred in numerous hit dramas, including Land of Wealth (2006) and On The First Beat (2007). 

Sonija got her start in showbiz after winning the 1999 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, where the overachiever also swept the titles of Miss Photogenic, Miss Intelligence and Miss International Goodwill.

After tying the knot with her Chinese martial arts choreographer beau Zhu Shaojie in 2011, and welcoming their daughter, Kylie, a year after, Sonija stepped away from the spotlight, with her last drama being period fantasy series, Under The Veil (2015).

Of late, it seems that Sonija is more enthused about reigniting her acting career, starting with a main role in ViuTV drama Inevitable, which aired earlier this year.

The actress also recently filmed an advertisement for a health foods brand with 10-year-old Kylie. This marks the first time mother and daughter appear in a commercial together.

Sonija, who has retained her youthful beauty throughout the years, barely looks to be in her 40s in the clip.

Many were also focused on Kylie, who looks like she inherited mum’s good genes. She was praised for looking beautiful and sweet at a young age and is thought to be a mini version of Sonija.

Although the young girl was said to cling to her mother at times, she also impressed others with her ability to comprehend filming instructions without much guidance. It’s no wonder Sonija had nothing but praise for her well-behaved young one.
