Ex TVB Actress Snowy Bai Splits With Husband; In-Laws Reportedly Find Her Image “Too Sexy”
They apparently didn’t like that she posted pics of herself in revealing outfits on social media.
Ex TVB actress Snowy Bai, 34, has split from her husband, architect and former Mr Hong Kong contestant Kelvin Kong, after five years of marriage.
According to reports, the couple, who tied the knot in 2016, finalised their divorce at the end of last year.
Though they kept their divorce low-key, close friends of the couple are aware of the split.
There had been cracks in the marriage for a while
Signs of trouble in their marriage first emerged in 2020.
The couple often clashed due to their different personalities and it was apparently so bad that Snowy considered moving to China to get away from Kelvin.
It didn’t help that Snowy’s in-laws took issue with her sexy image.
According to reports, Kelvin’s family found Snowy’s style too sexy and asked that she tone it down.
However, the actress, who is known for her voluptuous figure, continued to flaunt her curves in revealing outfits on social media, causing even more friction in their marriage.
She still believes in love
Her divorce notwithstanding, Snowy still professes an optimistic view on love, at least in public.
She took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to encourage singles to find love: "Friends who are single, it’s okay. Valentine's Day will be over in a few hours. Those who have broken up, it doesn't matter even more. Just find someone to love passionately."
She continued: "Love is the most beautiful, love has done nothing wrong, don't stop believing in love just because you met the wrong person.”
Snowy and Kelvin met in 2011, when he took part in the Mr Hong Kong contest, and tied the knot in 2016 after four years of dating.
He reportedly graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Department of Architecture, and comes from a well-to-do family which owns some HK$200 million (S$35mil) worth of properties.
