Not the best kind of publicity for his store, which has been open for less than a month.

Evergreen Mak’s Wagyu Beef Store Allegedly Operating Without A License

When news of Hongkong actor Evergreen Mak opening wagyu beef store Wagyu Pro first emerged, netizens were impressed at the 51-year-old’s determination to find a way to provide for his family. With his two kids still in school, many hoped for the best for his new business venture.

But that admiration quickly turned into suspicion when on July 28, the Hongkong media ran reports claiming that his store started operations without the necessary food and beverage license. The actor quickly responded to the allegations, sharing that he does not need the license as the store does not have in-house dining facilities, and that meals are strictly takeaway only.
