Is Evergreen Mak Returning To TVB? Rumour Has It That Wong Cho Lam, TVB’s Chief Creative Officer, Wants Him Back
Guess Evergreen hasn't burned all his bridges with the Hongkong broadcaster.
In 2019, Evergreen Mak, 52, parted ways with TVB after more than 20 years with the Hongkong broadcasting company.
After his departure, he revealed how unhappy he was working there, sharing anecdotes about how he badly was treated, and how he got sidelined after getting dragged into a Ponzi scheme.
From the outside, it looked like Evergreen had burned all his bridges with the company.

Evergreen, who has been shuttling between cities in the mainland for work, recently teamed up with former colleague and TVB's current Chief Creative Officer Wong Cho Lam, 41, at an event in Guangzhou.
Now industry watchers are saying that Cho Lam had spoken to Evergreen after the event about returning to TVB.
Evergreen became a ViuTV artiste after leaving his former employer. He then jumped ship to Asia Television in March.
His current contract with Asia Television is said to end in March 2022, and industry watchers think that TVB may offer to pay Evergreen’s contract termination fee to “prove their sincerity” in wanting him back at the station.
Will he say yes?
It seems Evergreen is open to the idea of returning too, if his previous interviews are any indication of what he thinks.
When asked if he would ever go back to TVB, Evergreen once said: “I’m an actor, and I’ll go to any [station] that wants me.”
