In early August, Hongkong comedian Eric Tsang’s wife, Rebecca Chu, passed away after battling cancer. The sad news was announced by Eric’s son, Hongkong actor-director Derek Tsang, who asked the media for privacy as his mum had valued hers.

According to reports, Eric and Rebecca lived apart, with the latter choosing to migrate to Canada with the couple’s two sons, Derek and Mark, over two decades ago. As a result, the couple was rarely photographed together, and over the years, there was much speculation as to whether they were still married.
