Empress Fucha, Wei Yingluo & Gao Guifei Reunite “Outside The Palace” After 3 Years; Yanxi Palace Fans Rejoice
Nie Yuan, who played the emperor in the drama, later posted an SOS asking netizens to edit him into the pictures too.

It’s been three years since the hit period drama Story Of Yanxi Palace became the most-talked about show on the planet, its stars skyrocketing to the A-list.
Unfortunately, this also means that it's become very difficult for the cast to meet up with one another.
But on April 11, the prayers of Yanxi Palace fans were answered, when Chinese actresses Wu Jinyan, Qin Lan and Tan Zhuo aka Wei Yingluo, Empress Fucha and Gao Guifei happened to be at the same dinner event.

They're as close as ever
Pictures of the trio, who were all coincidentally dressed in white, catching up with each other were soon posted on their respective Weibo accounts, with super witty captions too.
“Making the most of our palace leave, to head out for some fun together,” Qin Lan wrote in her caption, while Jinyan added: “It's really not easy to meet outside the palace”. From left: Qin Lan as Empress Fucha, Wu Jinyan as Wei Yingluo and Tan Zhuo as Gao Guifei in Story of Yanxi Palace.

Nie Yuan joins in on the fun
Meanwhile, Tan Zhuo joked in her caption: “The three of us met up, but the one who’s happiest after knowing about this must be [Chinese actor] Nie Yuan [who played the emperor in the drama]”.
Netizens were, of course, very pleased to see the actresses together again, with many leaving comments praising them for their beauty.
Nie Yuan also left a comment on Tan Zhuo’s post, writing that he was “in very high spirits” after knowing of their reunion.
In fact, he was so overjoyed that he decided to enlist the help of netizens, requesting for any "enthusiastic netizen” to edit him into the photos too.

This netizen's editing skills aren't too shabby
And boy, did they deliver.
While some netizens opted to keep things simple by following the actor’s request to a tee, some others were a little more cheeky with their edits.

That’s Nie Yuan’s name in Chinese in the green text box on the right.

Oh, and that’s the actor, um… showing off his consorts?
Looks like if Nie Yuan wants a proper picture with the actresses, he’ll have to meet up with them in person.
