To hype up their ‘failed' relationship, TVB posted a throwback video of Elaine and Ron in 2005 drama, Revolving Doors of Vengeance, sharing that this is not the first time the stars saw their onscreen relationship ended on less-than-ideal terms.

But it seems like romance is the last thing netizens are thinking about.

In the comments section of the video, netizens were all abuzz about how Elaine’s appearance has changed over the years.

In Revolving Door of Vengeance, a fresh-faced, 23-year-old Elaine sports super light make-up, with the signature thin eyebrows of the noughties.

In contrast, in Flying Tiger 3, Elaine sports heavier make-up and a more coiffed hairdo, to suit her character.

But instead of praising the actress for her glow-up, netizens could not help but wonder if Elaine got some extra help to boost her appearance.

“The difference between Elaine’s looks [over the years] is so obvious,” one netizen commented, while another went for the jugular, writing: “It's not the same person [at all].”

Of course, there were some who disagreed, writing that Elaine pretty much looks the same, and that she looks different because of make-up and better styling.
