Hong Kong singer Eason Chan gave fans quite a scare during his Beijing concert yesterday (Jul 13) when he took a hard fall on stage.

In a now-viral video on Xiaohongshu, the 50-year-old was seen performing ‘Ren Shen Dou’ when the mishap occurred.

The segment involved him being chased. As he moved backwards, he got too caught up in the performance and failed to notice a step behind him, sending him tumbling backwards with a loud thud.

Fortunately, it was only a small drop. Eason got back on his feet almost immediately and continued performing, impressing fans with his professionalism and composure.

Some netizens pointed out that the stage had multiple uneven steps, which posed a safety hazard.

They noted that there had been previous near misses, and this time he finally lost his footing.

Later in the concert, Eason lightened the mood by pretending to collapse dramatically while interacting with the audience.

He then reassured the crowd with a smile, saying: “That earlier fall wasn’t part of the act. Don’t worry, I’m fine! Sorry about that.”

“Luckily I’m meaty,” he joked, rubbing his bum.

This isn’t the first time Eason has met with such accidents.

In 2024, he fractured his cheekbone and required 30 stitches after fainting from heatstroke while playing tennis, forcing him to postpone his Chongqing show.

Then in May this year, he had to cancel his Kaohsiung concert after testing positive for COVID-19 and was even the subject of false death rumors, which he later debunked himself.

He also tripped during a concert in January, raising concerns about the stage design and lack of warning signs.

The fall wasn't part of the act, okay?
We're glad Eason's alright.
