Diner Demands Apology From Bosco Wong For “Disappointing” Food At His Restaurant

Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong’s restaurant- bar OysterMine in Tsim Sha Tsui is once again in the news for the wrong reasons.
A diner, claiming to be the husband of a Bosco fan, recently posted a scathing review on Xiaohongshu, calling the food “disappointing”.
He even demanded the star “come out and apologise”, sparking a heated online debate.
According to the receipt he posted, the couple ordered six dishes, including oysters, salad, and pasta, spending a total of HK$878 (S$148).
He said the oysters were “average at best”, the salad greens were "not considered fresh", and the crab cake was “over-fried, dry, and tasteless, with no crab flavour”.
“If this place were in Guangzhou, I doubt it would survive three months,” he stated.
But what upset him the most was that his wife had expected an autographed photo from Bosco, but instead they were given a regular photo.
“There won’t be a next time,” he said.
The post sparked heated discussion online, with netizens clearly split.
While some agreed with the original poster that from the pics, the food does “seem unappetising”, others felt he was overly harsh.
“If the food’s bad, give a bad review — demanding an apology is too much,” said one user, while another wrote: “There was never any mention of an autographed photo, just a regular one.”
Others also brought up how Bosco refused to lay off staff during the pandemic, even at a million-dollar loss, praising him as a “kind and righteous boss”.
