Rumours of Hongkong actor Raymond Lam, 38, and his actress-girlfriend Karena Ng, 24, splitting up have been brewing for most of 2017. And it seems the end might be nigh if recent news are to be believed. When hosting a New Year's Eve countdown event, the Hong Kong actress, who is 14 years younger than Raymond, confessed that the couple has not met in two months. "We rarely meet," was all she said when asked if Raymond was still her beau. And last December Raymond replied tensely when asked if the couple was going to celebrate Christmas together. "She’s busy, and I’m busy.... Career comes first for the both of us."
But the final straw for the couple, who started dating in 2013, may be a third party.

Brian Shi (right) and his tycoon granddad
Enter Brian Shi. According to the Hongkong press, Karena has been seeing the 28-year-old businessman whose prominent family, which has ties to the Hongkong government, is reported to be worth S$1.7 billion. The Shi family is said to be involved in real estate and large-scale infrastructure projects in China.Karena was reportedly introduced to Brian by a pal at an event some time ago. There are also reports claiming that there is friction between Karena and Raymond's family, who frowns upon the relationship. In case you didn't know, Raymond's property tycoon dad is also known as the Li Ka-shing of Xiamen. In other words he's very wealthy. Karena had reportedly initiated a break-up last year but Raymond managed to salvage the relationship. But it might be a little too late.
