Dee, who almost got cancelled by Chinese netizens back in August when she seemingly portrayed pro-Taiwan independence sentiments during the Olympics, posted an epic rant on social media about the ageist comments surrounding SJP.She wrote: “A lot of people were shocked when they saw Sex And The City actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s photos today. They said, ‘How did she get so old?’ I was surprised too. Isn’t it 2021? Why are women still being held hostage by their age?”

Dee continued, “Some women are praised for looking 40 when they’re 65, others don’t really care about taking care of themselves. They have freckles and are tanned because they like going out in the sun and climbing mountains. There will be people who ask them why they only care about exercising and don’t take care of their looks. And there’s also a large majority of women who are so tired after work that they only want to lie down, space out and watch dramas once they get home. Such women will get called obasan (aunties)!”

Dee went on to call out headlines that shame women for putting on weight, saying that the media should stop using weight as a measure of how beautiful a person is.

“I’m 43 this year. Is it not okay for me to have cellulite on my waist?” she said. “People are going to say that I’m trying to find excuses for my weight gain by writing this. In reality, I’m trying to help those who have been brainwashed!”
