The Daughters Of Faye Wong, Simon Yam & Takuya Kimura Owned Paris Fashion Week 2018
They show that stars are born and not made.

What do Simon Yam, Takuya Kimura and Faye Wong have in common? Answer: All of their kids made an appearance at this year’s Paris Fashion Week, with some sashaying down the runway with enough sass to rival their famous folks. But one celeb’s kid had cold feet at the last minute and almost opted out of her runway debut. Guess who?

It’s in the jeans
Hongkong veteran actor Simon Yam and his supermodel wife Qiqi's only daughter Ella may only be 14 years old, but at 1.7m-tall, she already towers over most people. Not only did Ella inherit her supermodel mom's leggy genes, but the aspiring fashion designer also has a passion for, well, fashion. To keep her promise to her daughter two years ago, Qiqi specially flew with Ella over to Paris to attend the Dior Haute Couture show. (Photo Credit: Apple Daily)

Fangirl mode
On July 4, Qiqi Instagrammed this pic of an ecstatic Ella with her idol aka American supermodel Karlie Kloss at the fashion show. "When my daughter, who doesn't like taking photos, saw her idol, supermodel Karlie Kloss, she puts on a bright smile,” she wrote.

Model material
This pic Qiqi Instagrammed of Ella got many netizens gushing over the teenager’s beauty.

Fashion invasion
Back in May, the youngest daughter of Japanese showbiz power couple Takuya Kimura and Shizuka Kudo, Mitsuki, made her modelling debut under the stage name ‘Koki’. The 15-year-old broke the Internet as photos of her cover shoot for Elle Japan went viral, with many netizens noting her striking resemblance to her famous father. On Jul 3, upon Elle's invitation, Koki and her mum flew to Paris to attend the Chanel haute couture show.

No language barriers
At the event, Koki conversed with fashion folks from different parts of the world in fluent English, while chaperoned by her loving mum. In this pic, Koki can be seen happily chatting with French veteran supermodel Caroline de Maigret. FYI: Koki attends an international school in Tokyo and is multi-lingual. Besides Japanese, the young model also speaks English, French and is currently learning Spanish. May we remind you that she’s only 15?

Mum knows best
Koki was accompanied by her mum (left) at the Chanel fashion show in Paris. “Her dad’s DNA is too strong" wrote one netizen while another gushed “She’s probably the only 15-year-old who can hold her own at a Chanel fashion show." Now, we can’t wait to see if Koki’s older sister Kokomi, 17, also has plans to enter showbiz.

Child’s play
Elsewhere, the daughters of former couple Faye Wong and Li Yapeng, as well as celeb couple Huang Lei and Leslie Sun, also created buzz at Paris Fashion Week when walked the runway for children's fashion brand Bonpoint. Seen here is Faye’s second daughter, Li Yan (above), 12.

Model behaviour
It was Li Yan’s second time walking the Bonpoint runway, which could explain why she looked a lot more at home than last year. She also seemed to have inherited her mom's cool confidence and the kiddo was quickly branded as “Li lao shi (teacher)” by impressed Chinese netizens. After the event, when Li Yan was asked if she enjoyed walking the runway, she replied, “It’s okay.” Guess she’s a lady of few words, just like her mom.

Double draw
At the same event, Huang Lei and Leslie’s two daughters also showed why they may be model material. Christine Huang aka Duo Duo (right), 12, already has experience in runway shows. This time round, she hit the catwalk with her little sister Camille Huang, four, who was making her runway debut.

Sister’s got your back
If you think Camille looks like she’d rather be anywhere but on the runway, you’re right. After the event, Leslie shared on her Weibo how her younger daughter almost dropped out of the runway show. “Before we entered the venue, we received a call [from our younger daughter who] said that she didn’t want to walk the runway anymore,” she wrote. “Her dad comforted her and her sister was with her. But she was still hesitant and said she was a little scared... So even up till the opening, we didn’t know if [our younger daughter] would be able to pull it off. When we saw [our older daughter] making an appearance holding her little sister’s hand, tears welled up in my eyes — for [our younger daughter's] small act of bravery, and also, [our older daughter's] huge responsibility."

Dad’s so sweet
Post-event, Huang Lei gave his elder daughter a peck on the forehead. Meanwhile, Camille looks like she’s still recovering from the trauma of her runway debut.

Fatherly love

Sister’s day out
Additionally, Chinese actor Tong Dawei’s two daughters, Zhifei (left) and Zhiling, were also invited to walk the runway. We can’t wait to see which other celeb’s kids will make their modelling debut at next year’s event.
