Crazy Rumour Claims JJ Lin Is The Source Of New COVID-19 Outbreak In China; Here’s How He Rubbished It
JJ Lin, 40, has shut down those baseless, and let's be honest, really terrible accusations that he is source of the latest COVID-19 outbreak in China.

And how did he rubbish that piece of fake news? By geotagging Singapore in his September 10 Weibo post (see pic below). That subtle move proves that he is now in Singapore (and has been here since July) and not in Fujian, China, which is experiencing a new wave of positive COVID-19 cases.

The outbreak in Fujian was first detected in a primary school in Putian. Initial results from gene sequencing suggested that the source of the new wave is a man who flew in from Singapore on August 4. The man had reportedly gone through 21 days of quarantine and tested negative on multiple PCR tests, but has now tested positive for the Delta variant.

Chinese media outlets named the man as Lin ‘Something’ Jie, and netizens immediately jumped to the conclusion that he's JJ, whose Chinese name is Lin Jun Jie. 'Cos you know, he's the only guy from Singapore whose surname is 'Lin' and has a 'Jie' in his name.
