Blackpink's Lisa might have gotten the Internet talking with her much hyped-up performances at Parisian cabaret Crazy Horse but it seems Chinese actress Angelababy stole a little of that thunder by allegedly turning up to catch Lalisa in action.

It was reported that Angelababy and Chinese actress Jenny Zhang was in attendance.

Amid the backlash, the iconic French cabaret came out to debunk the news, stating in an IG Story that the 36-year-old actress has “never seen” a Crazy Horse show and they would be “delighted to invite her anytime!”

Would Angelababy take up the offer, though?

Not so lucky was Jenny. Instead, Crazy Horse Paris seems to confirm the 36-year-old actress' appearance with pictures of her taking selfies with fans at the venue.

Previously, it was reported that Angelababy and Jenny had turned up to catch Lisa ‘s performance. The news saw netizens coming out to criticise the two actresses with many calling for their boycott as they had run afoul of the rules set by the Chinese Association of Performing Arts

One of the rules prohibits entertainers from "organising, participating or promoting activities related to obscene and explicit content". Apparently, Crazy Horse, which features nude female dancers, counts too.

Rumours that Angelababy has been cancelled by the Chinese government went viral after posts from on her Weibo account were removed.

A special season of her variety show Keep Running was also postponed due to the incident.

Jenny Zhang was also not spared. Her face in a poster for her upcoming drama Good Things Come in Twos was removed.

It was also reported that CCTV has suspended all promotion of the drama and its broadcast delayed indefinitely.

Yikes... All that just for watching a burlesque performance?
