Sneak peek of the upcoming train journey.

Construction Workers Enjoy Views Of Causeway On Upcoming JB-SG RTS Link While Transporting Cement Mixer

The Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Train (RTS) Link won't be completed until next year, but a group of construction workers involved in the project experienced the journey, albeit not how regular commuters would.

In a video posted to Instagram by majulaugh.sg, eight construction workers were seen taking in the views of Johor Bahru as they crossed the Causeway on an open-air carriage via the 4km RTS Link.

Granted, there is no air conditioning (in this heat?), but the experience looked memorable.

In another clip posted by TikToker runsgcommunitytogether, a similar makeshift carriage that the workers were on was also used to transport a cement mixer truck.

Quite a smart move to avoid the usual traffic jam.

Once the RTS Link is fully operational by the end of 2026, it is expected to carry up 10,000 passengers every hour in each direction, significantly easing cross-border travel.

Netizens were quick to acknowledge the hard work of the construction crew. “They should be very proud to see everything coming together so beautifully,” one commented on the post.

Another heartfelt comment read: “Thanks to my brothers for their hard work in constructing and contributing their hard work into making this historical moment for Singapore and Malaysia”.
