Coco Lee Yells At Sing! China Director On Set, Calls Competition Unfair
She has since explained her actions on Weibo, adding that all is well now after having a talk with the production team.

Things are heating up on-and-offscreen on season seven of Chinese talent show Sing! China.
Last week, a video of Hong Kong pop diva and newly-minted mentor Coco Lee losing her cool and yelling at the director on set went viral.
Coco, 47, joined Hacken Lee, Fish Leong, and Li Ronghao on the panel two weeks ago, replacing Chinese baritone Liao Changyong. The dean and professor of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music left the show due to work commitments.
In the video, a furious Coco could be seen yelling: "[You must be] Blind! Everyone is watching! Director, please tell me the rules of the competition. Why does [someone with] the score of 73 get a second chance, and [one with] 88.3 doesn’t? Can the director please explain? Is this fair? Even if you don't say it, everyone will," before storming off.
According to a netizen who was at the scene, the incident took place when they were filming the Top 5 round of the competition.
Of the 11 contestants, those with the highest score from each group can advance to the next round, while the remaining seven have to battle it out for the last spot.
As there were two contestants from the other three teams and only one from Coco’s, her mentee was eliminated even though she had the fifth highest score.
Netizens praised Coco for speaking out, saying that things must have been “really bad” for the usually chirpy star to flare up like this.
Some also commented that they are not surprised by what transpired as the show is known to be “shady”.
“When Eason Chan returned to Hong Kong after appearing on [season 2 of] the show, he already stated that the rules of the competition are like this. The production team has the final say. This is why he didn’t return as mentor,” wrote one fan, while another said: “Whoever pays more wins.”
However, there were also netizens who spoke up for the production team, saying that they did this to speed up filming that day as they had encountered delays earlier.
After the clip went viral, Coco took to Weibo last night (Sep 28) to clear the air, explaining that all is well after she had a talk with the production team.
"When joined Sing! China, I was really moved by the hard work of the contestants, and I am fully committed to my role as a mentor. I love the students. After communicating with the production team and hearing their explanation, all misunderstandings have been resolved,” she wrote.
