In February, pop diva Coco Lee, 47, found herself the subject of very unfestive criticisms after she appeared on CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala.
Viewers then commented that Coco’s face looked way too stiff, as if she had work done recently.
She never did address those remarks but her recent response to a comment about her new selfie shows that the pop diva is definitely aware of what's been said about her.

On Monday (Mar 21), Coco posted a close-up, bare-faced photo of herself with a Cheshire Cat grin and a wild head of hair. “Good morning, I’m about to get up from bed. Guess where I am? I hope everyone has a happy Monday,” wrote Coco, who most definitely sounds like a morning person.
But her enthusiasm for the day was quickly dampened by the comments of some netizens who didn’t think it was a flattering pic for Coco to share with the world.
When one netizen said that the photo could be used by her haters to poke fun at her, Coco replied, “It’s okay, I’ve never thought of myself as a beauty anyway. I only want to be myself.”
Buoyed by her own show of self-love, Coco continued: “A person’s looks won’t last forever. I hope those who like me, like me for my personality and talent. If people want to hate on me, then they can hate on me. To able to make people laugh is pretty good.”
Her thoughtful, heartfelt reply earned her praise from many netizens, with one calling it “the perfect response”.
