Christy Chung’s daughter Yasmine Ross has flaunted her bodacious beach bod on more than one occasion, but what netizens never knew about the 23-year-old is that there have been times where she didn’t love her body too.
“I’ve definitely gone through a love-hate relationship with my body, moments where I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin, times where I blame it for not functioning in the way I’d like it do, or even embarrassed for the way it presents itself,” Yasmine admitted. “[But] by feeding it nutritious meals, taking it out on walks [and] listening to its needs, [I’m able to] create a much more loving relationship with my body. And in turn, a beautiful sense of coming home.”
Her message was accompanied by snaps of her lounging in bed in lingerie.
This isn’t the first time she’s shared these insights into her life.
Last November, she made headlines when she posted videos of herself breaking down in tears, leading netizens to assume that she was having boyfriend problems. Yasmine later denied these claims, revealing that she was just “going through a lot of self-growth” and that she was emotional because of that.
On April 7, she uploaded a vlog of herself having a “bad mental health day” on her YouTube channel. The video saw her crying while saying to the camera: “I just feel kind of paralysed, like I don’t really know what to do to make [myself] better or get out of this funk (…) It’s so hard to walk outside. I’ve tried texting some friends and stuff but it’s just hard (…) I don’t know what to do. It’s a hard day.”
