Christine Fan has never been one to mince her words, and has landed herself in hot soup more than once for not filtering her words on social media. In January, she uploaded an expletive-filled rant criticising the Taiwanese government for banning the export of masks, which led to netizens slamming her for what they saw as an act of betrayal towards her fellow Taiwanese, who were also scrambling to snap up masks at the time.
The 44-year-old apologised but later shot back at netizens, which ultimately led to her announcing that she would go on a social media cleanse with a short, “Goodbye and good night for now” on January 30.
