Sometimes it's really not easy being a mega superstar. Just look at what Chow Yun Fat has to deal with as he's going about his daily life.

Recently, the 70-year-old Hong Kong film legend was, as usual, spotted going on a jog with his running kakis in HK.

In a pic shared by a Chinese tourist on Xiaohongshu, Fat Gor was with a few of his showbiz pals, including ex-TVB actress Natalie Tong, Grasshopper's Calvin Choy as well as former actress Cass Phang.

While bumping into the actor is not that uncommon anymore — we've lost count of the number of people who've scored selfies with Fat Gor — the netizen went on to do something many would consider pretty unacceptable.

The fan snapped pictures of Fat Gor while he was changing next to his car in a hotel carpark, and even posted one on Xiaohongshu.

However, she claimed that she'd already informed the star after someone called her out for "secretly filming" him.

"Fat Gor knows. After I took this picture, I told him about it while we were taking a selfie," she replied.

She also shared their selfie to prove her point.

Regardless, it's still not nice to take photos of people when they are changing, right?

Months after we visited the upper floor following reports of shuttered shops and sparse foot traffic, we returned on a Friday afternoon to see whether things had changed. This time, Level 2 had noticeably more people around, from teenagers and tourists to older shoppers. More importantly, shoppers were actually interacting with the stalls, trying things on and making purchases, rather than simply browsing and walking through. There are still plenty of shuttered units, and Level 2 remains much quieter than the ever-busy ground floor, but the atmosphere felt noticeably livelier during our visit. Bugis Street is also hosting its “Somewhere @ Bugis Street” weekend events as part of its ongoing efforts to bring more activity to the area.
