Chinese Actress Kimmy Tong, Whose Godpa Is Chow Yun Fat, Has Been Dubbed A “Young Chingmy Yau”
The 32-year-old played Fat Gor’s daughter in From Vegas To Macau movie series.
Hong Kong director Wong Jing has launched the careers of many stars in his four decades in showbiz.
One of his more recent muses who’s making waves is Chinese actress Kimmy Tong, 32.
Dubbed a "young Chingmy Yau" for her “goddess-like looks” and acting talent, she has been hailed by netizens as one of the “most beautiful post-90s actresses”.
Born in Shandong, Kimmy signed with Wong Jing’s agency after she was talent scouted at 19.
She made her acting debut in 2011 comedy Treasure Hunt and went on to work with the director seven more times.
She is best known for her role as Chow Yun Fat’s daughter in the popular From Vegas To Macau trilogy.
The movie series, which earned a whopping 2.6 billion yuan (S$508mil) in total box office sales, catapulted Kimmy to fame.
Turns out, like in the films, Kimmy and Fat Gor are very close in real life.
The screen legend is Kimmy’s godpa and she once shared that Fat Gor is like a dad to her.
“I act like a child when I am with him,” she said.
