“He Farts A Lot And They Stink”: Ex Of Chinese Heartthrob Spills About Actor’s Shortcomings
Could this be one of the reasons they broke up?
With the surge in popularity of Chinese micro-dramas, ultra-short series designed for mobile viewing, many actors have gained fame by crossing over into the vertical-screen format.
Among them is Leo Wang Yiran, who has starred in nearly 60 productions since 2023, earning him the title “male god of micro-dramas”.
The 26-year-old has been melting hearts with his roles as domineering CEOs and lovestruck male leads in hits like 如果眼泪记得你 (translated as If Tears Remember You) and 三万英尺的暗恋 (30,000 Feet of Secret Love).
But off-screen, it seems his love life isn’t quite as picture-perfect.
Leo recently made headlines after his ex-girlfriend publicly confirmed their break-up… and shared more than fans bargained for.
It started when netizens spotted a cryptic post on his ex’s social media earlier this week: “To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, I hereby officially announce: my previous relationship has ended. Please don’t disturb me further.”
Fans quickly connected the dots and bombarded her with questions.
She later popped up in a Douban micro-drama online discussion forum to spill more tea, revealing she was the one who initiated the split.
The reason?
“We just weren’t a good match. Being with him was too stressful, I couldn’t take it anymore,” she wrote.
When pressed to share Leo’s shortcomings, she said: “He’s very addicted to the internet, and… he farts a lot, and they stink.”
Um, TMI?
She added that her family also determined the two were “incompatible according to their bazi (set of characteristics surrounding the date and hour of your birth in Chinese astrology),” which prompted her to break up.
Many netizens, however, interpreted her comments as a sign she might still have feelings for him.
