Chinese Doctor Goes Viral For Looking Just Like ’90s Hongkong Star Chingmy Yau

It all started with a clip of Zhou Qin, who is a doctor at the department of food and nutrition at the Chongqing Medical University Affiliated No.2 Hospital, teaching netizens the science behind drinking water.

Cue thirsty jokes, we know.

Netizens were immediately charmed by Zhou Qin’s “sweet smile” and “cute looks”, and especially by how much she looks like Chingmy.

According to Oriental Daily, the video has been ‘liked’ over 300,000 times and over ten thousand netizens have left comments in a really short amount of time.

Among the many comments were, um, astute observations like “She looks more like Chingmy’s daughter than Chingmy’s actual daughter”, totally predictable inquiries like “Does this doctor have a boyfriend?”, as well as this thirsty gem “I want to go to Chongqing and register to see the nutrition department”.

Zhou Qin has since addressed her newfound fame on Weibo, writing: “Hi everyone, I’m Dr Zhou Qin and I would like to thank all of you for following me. To be honest, I’m rather surprised by this. To be one of Weibo’s Most-Searched topics is something I would never dream about. I’m very thankful to receive everyone’s likes and support. I will work hard in the future to provide reliable information about nutrition.”

Though it’s not known how old Zhou Qin is — not that it matters — some netizens have guesstimated her age to be 46.

In response to this, the doctor said: “Thanks everyone for your acknowledgement, but I’m not even 40.”
