Maintaining your figure is tough, and no one knows that struggle better than female celebs who have to look flawless 24/7.

Yesterday (Nov 6), Chinese actress Jiang Xin suddenly shared a video on Weibo showing her eyes red from crying.

The 42-year-old, who was apparently tipsy, tearfully confessed to her manager, Yan Liangruo, that she has been eating vegetarian food for the past two days.

Jiang Xin had also been starving herself just to fit into the dress she wore to the Weibo TV & Internet Video Summit 2025 earlier this week (Nov 3). The gown, according to Jiang Xin, was picked out by Liangruo

“Even my dad wouldn’t believe me if I said I’m full! I told him I was full, and he was shocked!," she stressed, repeating that she barely ate during that period.

"I’m acting like I’m full, I’m acting!" she added.

Jiang Xin continued in tears about how difficult it is to maintain her weight.

“I feel… it’s so hard! Because this dress was your pick, I have to look good in it," she said, addressing Liangruo. "I can’t let people think I’m ugly or fat."

"I really tried hard, but my arms are still so thick they’re catching up to my thighs. This is just how I am, healthy and strong, I've been like that since young," she continued.

But when asked if she's happy with how she looked, the actress then laughed: "Still okay, [my arms] don't look particularly thick!"

Standing at 1.71m tall, Jiang Xin has often been described on screen as having a “sturdy frame” and a “bear-like waist.”

She is reportedly in a "constant battle” with her weight just to look good on camera.

“I’m really thankful today, Yan Liangruo, because you ordered some cucumber for me today," she quipped.

Liangruo then quickly clarified that Jiang Xin’s strict diet was not decided by the manager herself. She also told Jiang Xin not to paint her like a villain who didn't allow her artiste to eat.

When Liangruo told Jiang Xin that she can feast after the event, the actress allegedly even turned down the offer. "No, I don’t want to. I think I look quite nice like that," she said.

Fans, however, really sympathised with the actress and rushed to the comments to comfort her.

“Sis, eat more! Don’t keep losing weight!," one urged. Another then assured the actress that she's "not fat at all".

Others also found her candidness adorable.

“Isn’t this video just too cute? I’ve watched it so many times already," they affirmed.

Totally keeping it real, isn't she?

Being a celebrity is surely not easy
This is obviously not going to be filling
