Popular Hunan TV variety show 818 Evening Party, known for its star-studded guest performers, recently incurred the wrath of viewers, who accused the show of being "disrespectful" to women.

818 Evening Party, which aired live on August 18, featured performances by Huang Xiaoming, who became an internet meme for his awkward dancing on the show, and the contestants from Sisters Who Make Waves. But all that star power paled in comparison to the ruckus online about how the show used inappropriate camera angles while filming the stars, with viewers slamming its chee ko pek crew for being “unprofessional” and “despicable”.
