Cherrie Ying Lost Her Temper When Her 7-Year-Old Son Didn’t Know How To Read Simple Chinese Words
She’s a bona fide Tiger Mum and she isn’t afraid to show it, even in front of the cameras.
Cherrie Ying can be a really tough parent, and she’s certainly not afraid to show it. The 37-year-old, who has sons Jasper and Hoho with husband Jordan Chan, has declared that she isn’t bothered by the thought of her boys disliking her ‘cos of her Tiger Mum ways.
Audiences have been able to get a glimpse of just how strict — and scary — Cherrie can be thanks to Chinese reality show Welcome New Life. In one episode that aired a couple of weeks ago, Cherrie, her parents, and Jasper sat down for a game that looked like some kind of Chinese Scrabble, where the tiles are combined to form different characters.
