Charmaine Sheh, 48, is indisputably one of the most successful TVB actresses of her time.

She made her TVB debut in 1998 after placing third in the Miss Hong Kong pageant the year before and went on to star in numerous iconic dramas, including War and Beauty (2004), and Beyond the Realm of Conscience (2009).

She’s also the first star to win Best Actress at the TVB Anniversary Anniversary Awards three times.

A series of old photos of the popular star were recently shared online, and netizens were left super impressed at how good she always looked.

Charmaine is a graduate of Heep Yunn School, an Anglican’s girl’s secondary school located in Kowloon. Other famous alums include Sheren Tang and Virginia Lok.

At 18, she studied in Switzerland’s IMI International Management Institute, where she specialised in hotel management. She would later return to Hong Kong to participate in Miss Hong Kong, kickstarting her showbiz career.

One of the pictures features Charmaine during her time in IMI Institute some 30 years ago and at what looks like a cooking class.

Another pic was of a young Charmaine, dressed in a swimsuit on the deck of a yacht.

Charmaine once mentioned in an interview that her dad used to be a businessman.

Sadly, he passed away from a car accident when she was only five, leaving her family in a tough place financially. It was only after receiving his insurance payout that her family of four
— including her mum, and her older and younger brothers — managed to get their lives back on track.
