Chapman To Shows Support For Nike Amid Xinjiang Cotton Controversy

Global brands like H&M, Nike and Adidas have come under fire in China because of the stand they've taken against the alleged use of forced labor in the production of cotton in Xinjiang.

In addition to calls for a boycott from the Chinese public, more than 30 celebrities including Eason Chan, Yang Mi and Eddie Peng have cut ties with the brands, forgoing lucrative endorsement deals to show their support for Xinjiang products.

Not Hongkong actor Chapman To, though. Last night (Mar 25), Chapman, who is known for his anti-China views, shared two Facebook posts declaring his support for Nike.

The first was a graphic with laughing emojis and the text "Brand revolution. [They] do what they say. Just do it," a reference to the sportswear giant's famous tagline.

The second was a photo of himself in Nike sneakers, with the caption: "I wear Nike and I am proud."

The post immediately got 10,000 likes, with some netizens sharing pics of their Nikes too.
