After completing his first round of treatment, he was discharged for 10 days before he had to return for a follow-up.
During his brief break, he found time to soak in the outdoors and went for a stroll along the Han River, which he described as his only summer outing this year.
However, upon his return to the hospital, he developed chills and a high fever, prompting doctors to move him to an isolation ward for cancer patients.
“My [blood level] numbers fluctuate a lot, so they want to monitor me further. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t be discharged today,” he explained frustratedly.
Hyun Seung also revealed the painful side effects from this treatment, including burst capillaries and minor bleeding on his arms.
Netizens flooded the comments section with messages of support and encouragement, many sharing their experience with cancer and urging Hyun Seung to stay strong.
Cancer survivors also left heartfelt notes, promising to cheer him through recovery.
“When you are finally discharged and show us your healthy and beautiful side as a celebrity who overcame leukaemia, I'll be vicariously happy,” read a comment.
